I teach the Foundations of Child Development and Practicum 1 &
2 courses
PROFESSIONAL INVOLVEMENT:
I am a certified Infant-Toddler Training Intensive trainer, primarily
teaching in Anoka County. I am also a member of the National Association
for the Education of Young Children. I hold teaching licenses in
secondary home economics as well as in parent education.
CARREER BACKGROUND:
uring my college education, I worked at the University of Minnesota
Child Care Center as an aide. Upon graduation, I worked at the Anoka-Hennepin
Technical College as a lead teacher in the on-site child care center.
In 1989, I was hired as the lead instructor and department chair
in the Child Development Careers program and served in that capacity
for 9 years. Since 1998, I have been an adjunct faculty member at
both Anoka-Hennepin and Pine Technical Colleges.

of Minnesota
PERSONAL NOTE:
I am married with three children. I enjoy camping, hiking, biking,
reading and scrapbooking. I especially enjoy visiting various early
childhood programs and building training and supportive relationships
with early childhood programs.
