COURSES TAUGHT:
I teach the following first year courses, Professional Relations
& EC Careers, Guidance: the Physical and Social Environment,
Planning and Implementing Curriculum, Preschool Development and
Learning and Internship. I also teach the majority of the second
year curriculum; including, Professional Leadership, Multi-Cultural
Learning Experiences, Language & Literature Experiences, Practicum
I & II, Program Planning and Creative Development & Learning
Experiences.
PROFESSIONAL INVOLVEMENT:
ECFE Advisory Board Member, Douglas County Early Childhood Workgroup,
Healthy Communities/Healthy Youth & Strengthening Families Committee,
NAEYC,MNAEYC & LRAEYC, Infant Toddler Training Intensive Project
CARREER BACKGROUND:
I taught in the field of early childhood mostly at child care centers
for 7 years working with preschoolers, toddlers and infants as lead
teacher. I have done clock hour trainings for Child Care Resource
and Referral for the past nine years.
EDUCATION:
I received my BES in Early Childhood from St. Cloud State University
in 1990.
PERSONAL NOTE:
My husband and I have two children and live on about 30 acres outside
of Alexandria. As a family we enjoy gardening, taking care of our
animals, fishing, swimming and bike riding.
