I teach Culturally Relevant and Anti-Bias Education; Child, Family and Community Relations; Practicum I, Caregiving and Teaching Strategies, Curriculum Planning, and Professional Leadership.

PROFESSIONAL INVOLVEMENT:
I coordinate E-LECT.

CARREER BACKGROUND:
I taught in child child care centers and E.C.F.E. for six years and directed child care centers for four years. I 've worked on a variety of grant projects . Prior to coming to M.C.T.C. I taught part time at for Hamiline Graduate School, Macalaster College, Century College, and St. Paul Technical College. I enjoy writing and have written three books, Roots and Wings: Affirming Culture in Early Childhood Programs, Big As Life vol 1 and vol 2. I co-write Future Vision Present Work.

PERSONAL NOTE:
I live in Apple Valley, MN with my husband, two school-age sons, three dogs, a cat, and seven fish.
In my spare time, I enjoy gardening and playing golf.
